We've designed a nurturing, calming environment for your baby to develop and thrive in! Our nursery provides the warmth and security your little one is used to receiving at home. Your primary caregiver is focused on the individual needs of your baby, and will work with you to mirror your existing routine with bottle times, naps and playtimes to provide consistency. We’ve also designed our infant nursery to respond to your baby’s energy and curiosity.
While your baby is playing, your little one is also learning. We use our exclusive High Scope Curriculum and Georgia Early Learning Developmental Standards to help your baby reach key developmental milestones, including advanced motor skills, language, cognitive skills and social and emotional development. When your baby is playing, your little one is also learning. We've created 1000s of play-based activities based on the 5 components of brain development. And each activity is designed for a specific learning purpose.
Each week your primary caregiver will create an individualized lesson plan for your baby.
The lesson plan is unique to your child, with at least 6 activities selected for your child's interests and development goals.
A new lesson plan is created weekly, though some activities may be repeated.
The lesson plan is posted in the nursery, so you can always review your baby's weekly plan.
We also incorporate these additional programs into our infant nursery:
Tummy Time
Infants spend the majority of time on their backs (in cribs, car seats, strollers). We practice Tummy Time, allowing them to lay on their stomach while awake and supervised. This helps your baby develop their arm, chest and neck muscles and promotes motor skills, while also preventing the flattening of the back of the head. Tummy Time also helps your baby build the strength needed for sitting up, rolling over, crawling and walking.
Baby Sign Language
Your baby will begin learning and using simple signs in our nursery. Baby sign language teaches your infant how to express his or her needs and communicate emotions and desires using simple signs and gestures before developing the ability to speak.
Frequently Asked Questions for the Infant Class
What should my infant have on the first day of school?
On the first day of school your infant should be accompanied with a complete change of clothes, a diaper bag, plenty of diapers and 4-5 prepared bottles for the day. If your child is eating baby food, please bring that in as well. Please also provide a pacifier if your child is accustomed to one.
What will Kidzz First provide for my infant child?
KFCDC will provided unscented wipes, baby powder, and diaper cream for your child as well as an assigned crib and bed sheets that are changed daily.
What is the 'Infant Feeding Plan' and how often is it updated?
The infant feeding plan is a detailed, day-to-day feeding plan that we will follow for your infant child. The form must be completed upon enrollment and before your child's first day. Every 3 months thereafter you will be asked to update this form in order to keep our staff up to date on your infants feeding progress.
